ART CONSERVATION & RESTORATION SERVICES

Kalypso Kampani leads a specialised art conservation practice dedicated to the preservation, study, and long-term care of artworks and historic interiors. With more than two decades of international experience across the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Greece, her work serves museums, heritage organisations, private collections, and architecturally significant properties. Her approach is defined by precision, research-led methodology, and a clear understanding of how artworks exist within their material, cultural, and architectural context, ensuring conservation outcomes that are both technically sound and historically sensitive.
Drawing on her expertise in wall paintings, mosaics, decorative surfaces, easel and panel paintings, polychrome sculpture, gilding, plaster, stone, metal, and mixed-media works, Kalypso provides conservation interventions that stabilise, protect, and restore complex artworks with discretion and clarity. She offers guidance on preventive conservation, collections care, and exhibition preparation, supporting institutions and private clients in maintaining safe, stable environments for their collections. Her practice also extends to material research, paint analysis, and the redesign or reinstatement of historic decorative schemes, including stencil decoration and traditional finishes.
Kalypso leads complex, multidisciplinary projects, guiding teams of architects, engineers, curators, and contractors to deliver coordinated, high-level conservation outcomes. She advises institutions and private clients on project management, risk assessment, and long-term preservation planning, bringing a practical leadership perspective that integrates technical excellence with strategic decision-making.
